Windows 10: Setting up Headset

Hi,


Regarding sound, I have tried to use various 3.5mm headsets connected to an audio splitter plugged into the correct pink mic and green audio ports. The headsets all have a built in microphone, but I have no sound input or output whatsoever. Bluetooth headsets work fine, its just wired ones that aren't working at the moment. In Settings Devices>Sound>Output, the default output has been set to 'Realtek Digital Output RealtekR Audio' with other options being speakers and my monitor. The Input is set to 'Stereo Mix RealtekR Audio', and that is the only option available. I have tried searching for the device in the Sound Control Panel, but none of the devices appear. Realtek HD Audio Manager doesn't show up on my PC, but I am about to install the 2.82 drivers to see if this does anything.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

I appreciate it I was more looking to see if anyone knows something that can fit my bill in that budget. Trust me I know all about the $300 range and even considered audio technica m50x with a condenser mic *Stick Out Tongue

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
