Windows 10: What am I missing out if I'm not using GPT?

In my other post I asked about GPT/MBR issue and ended up installing as Legacy so it will work on both PCs that I'm working on (I'm swapping the drive between the two PCs - one is MBR and one is GPT)

So now that I have MBR only, do I lose any important feature? Maybe there's a security problem?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

This method you have to backup all your data and delete all partitions and volumes. Then use the
DISKPART command.

• Open command prompt and type in DISKPART and press Enter
• Then type in list disk (Note down the number of disk you want to convert to GPT)
• Then type in select disk number of disk
• Finally type in convert gpt.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
