Windows 10: Printer Driver is not installed on this computer

I've installed a Xerox D125 copier on desktop however when I try to access the printer properties or printer preferences I received an error message "Printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver.". If I click yes it goes through the process of installing the driver and I receive the error again. If I click no the properties will open but it is missing some options. I've installed this printer on another machine with the same settings and OS but do not receive the error message. I've reinstalling the driver, renaming the driver folder in the driverstore, comparing registry setting from a working computer to an affected computer, imported registry settings from a working computer to an affected computer but to no avail. I am also able to access the printer properties when going through print management and right clicking on the printer then select properties. The issue here is users will not be able to access the preferences/properties using this method. This is happening on multiple computers and can some times be resolved by restarting the pc. Has anyone seen this issue before or had any luck resolving this issue?

First, I would suggest installing the actual driver package from Brother. While the printer may work with the fairly generic drivers that come with Windows 10, I've always found that I get better results from the actual Brother drivers.

I have a rather old Brother printer so the exact steps may be a bit different from yours, but in my case when I install the drivers it will search the network for available printers and allow me to specify the printer that it finds. If it does not find a printer, it may ask you to initially setup the printer via a direct connection (USB), and then configure the printer for network use (WiFi).

In any case, the installation wizard should guide you through the steps.
