    How do I change the default quotation mark and apostrophe styles in Windows 10?


    I'm using a Japanese version of Windows 10 with added Hungarian language. When I was using a regular Hungarian version, granted Windows 7 and earlier, I would always get straight quotation marks and apostrophes, which is my preferred style and it's easily compatible with programs and scripts I have written. But now that I changed locations/computers/OS, I keep getting an indented version of quotes and apostrophes that keep breaking my scripts. I want to change my quote/apostrophe style on the system level, but I can't find an option for that for the life of me.

    I know this can be hacked in by an auto-replace function in Word, but I do not use Word for coding, nor do I want to in the future. I would prefer if my regular old Notepad would use straight characters.

    Quotation Marks Doubled

    Suddenly, when in the middle of a document, my Word for Windows 10 started making two quotation marks, or two apostrophes, when I hit the key.

    What did I do?

    Incorrect default setting for quotation marks in Croatian language

    Hello,

    It seems that Croatian quotation marks in all Microsoft products (Windows 10 and Office 365) have an incorrect default setting, and show
    „“ (Alt 0147) instead of „”(Alt 0148). Is there a way to correct this to match the Croatian language standard? Also, the Croatian keyboard setting is listed as "Standard", so it would be great if the name could be changed into "Croatian"
    to make it more accessible.

    How do I change the default quotation mark and apostrophe styles in Windows 10?

    Shift key doesn`t change apostrophe to double quotation marks

    I cannot find a way to have double quotation marks appear in MS word. I am running Windows 10 and have tried changing the language, gone into the settings under auto-correct options and I still can't figure it out. Could someone please help.
