Windows 10: Garmin express wont open in windows 10

I had problems with Garmin Express opening in Windows 10. It would start running, then shutdown. After following all of the online advice I did the following:


Start>Settings>Apps>Apps & Features>App Installer>Advanced Options>repair then >reset.

After I did this, Garmin Express worked fine.

If you have the software, try to reinstall it. Or if there is an option to "repair" in the App list under Settings, Apps, look for the software, try a repair if its an option or uninstall. Install a new version from Garmin,

I have just installed updates to my PC (windows 10) and now Garmin express will not launch! Any ideas?

Just to confirm: Are you trying to uninstall from Control Panel>Icon View>Programs and Features and not All Apps list?

Sometimes if a program will not uninstall, you can try reinstalling it anyway to see if it will overwrite the old copy and is now stable, and if not whether it will then allow you to uninstall it.

If this fails type services.msc in Start Search box, right click Services app to Run as Admin, look for a Garmin Service to Stop and Disable. Then try the uninstall or reinstall again.
