Windows 10: Taskbar won't autohide if the setting is closed

    Taskbar won't autohide if the setting is closed


    Before I have been having problems with my taskbar not popping up when I set it to autohide. Now for some reasons, the taskbar now can autohide and pop back up, but only when I have the settings open it works if I have it minimised, but it's annoying so I want it to work when I close the settings as well.


    When the taskbar does not hide, it doesn't act as if I didn't set the autohide option, but rather simply hovering over the screen like when it is poped up.

    To add more info tho I am not sure if it's related, I have my taskbar set on top.

    chrome + taskbar autohide problem

    So i set my taskbar autohide. whenever chrome is in fullscreen, when i hover around the corner, the taskbar wont appear. It works with other browsers....

    Autohide Taskbar in Desktop Mode

    Hi Niel,

    In rare cases, you may be having an issue with Autohide Taskbar in desktop mode when you when you just recently did an upgrade on your PC. Autohide Taskbar Option might have got unchecked during the process. We would suggest you try the following steps to enable
    Autohide taskbar and check if it makes any difference.

    a. Right-click on the Taskbar.

    b. Click on Properties.

    c. Put a check mark next to ‘Auto-hide’ the taskbar.

    d. Click on Apply and OK.

    Update us with the result.

    Taskbar won't autohide if the setting is closed

    Applications won`t maximize

    Following a W10 update, applications only open as minimised on the taskbar and won`t maximize. I have tried closing them minimised but no good. Can anyone help ? thanks
