  1. NVIDIA graphics card not being recognized by Device Manager

Hi I have an Alienware 14 with a stock NVIDIA GeForce 750M GPU and I'm running Windows 10 Pro, Version 20H2, OS Build: 19042.746.

When I first installed Windows, I remember I checked the Device Manager and the GPU showed up in Device Manager, but then it disappeared and now I can't play games. What I've done to remedy the problem on my own: Updated all the optional drivers updates from Windows Update. I've gone to command prompt and set device manager to show hidden devices, uninstalled the NVIDIA hidden driver, and then tried to reinstall the GPU driver with the official NVIDIA driver package for the GeForce. That didn't work.

I tried installing Display Driver Uninstaller DDU, I uninstalled the two "unknown devices" in Device Manager, booted into safe mode, ran DDU to uninstall the driver DDU still couldn't recognize the graphics card, and rebooted. Then I tried running the NVIDIA Driver Installation package in Windows 8 compatability mode, as well as trying Windows 7 compatability mode. I have exhausted my resources and need a professional to help me. Oh I've also flashed my BIOS to the newest version and my BIOS does see the Graphics Card, so this is something with Windows.

    :)

    Hello Brian,

I request you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

    Drivers

    • Right click on the Start menu.

    • Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    • Search for the Graphics Card
from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
