    Any program to convert sub./idx subtitles to srt


    Hi folks
    I use subtitle translation a reasonable amout -- translating srt (text files) to another language.

    However some cases I can only get the sub/idx combo format of subtitles from say DVD's etc.

    Is there any way to convert these to .srt format -- I don't care if it's online or whatever.

    .srt or .sub subtitles on nokia n9

    can somebody help how can i upload video files with on my nokia n9 with srt or sub subtitles like i did on my old n8??? and play them with no hazle simultaneously??? i am very disappointen with this function missing, i guess it can not be something complicated!!!
    ps: sorry if my english is not so good...

    Can N8 play .srt (subtitle) files?

    krisq, let me see if i got it right,

    on 1, I understand to open the .srt file in Notepad, then do a Save As and in that window choose Encoding:Unicode.

    as to 2, I am not sure I understand what you mean, 'try Micro DVD format with .sub extensions. Do you mean to try to locate and use subtitles in .sub format, or to find a way to convert a .srt file t .sub?

    Sorry in case my qyestions are a bit daft !

    sub to avi/divx

    I found a easy to use program.. ConvertXtoDVD which lets me add srt subtitles to AVI files and burn both merged to a DVD in the DVD format.. Problem solved.. PS. I use VobSub´s SubResync to convert .sub files to .srt files..
