Windows 10: Im trying to connect to a 5gz wifi but it wont show up no matter what I do does anyone know...

Im currently on a 2.4 wifi on my desktop and I need to connect to my 5 gz wifi for better and faster speeds. But the wifi well not show up. My room mate is on that wifi on his laptop so I know it works and I know my pc can run a 5 gz wifi but no matter what I do the wifi well not show up and I've spent hours trying to fix it. Please help.

Wifi 5gz not shoeing in nearby networks

I am trying to get my laptop to discover and connrct to my 5gz channel but it's not showing up when i scan for nearby connections. I know my router is broadcasting it becausemy cellphone can see it and connect to it, I know my laptop used to see it but
how do i get it to come back. Because this stops me from being able to use any bluetooth devices since they are trying to run on the same frequency so the wifi stops working.

 

possible to download a wifi adapter driver to suport 5gz

ok so apparently if it shows radio types supported and it shows 802.11n then it supports 5gz so i guessthe next step is to find a driver thats allows 5gz on my pc but i didnt have one show up on hp site under my model

 

my wifi shows its connected but wont access the internet or app store

Infact im having the same problem. I am using Wifi router A and router B. Few apps works when i connect with router B and not all apps. With router A, it shows wifi signal but no internet connectivity but my laptop fully works with router A. Any solution
for this??
