Unable to print full page pictures

About this time last year I bought a new laptop identical to the one I gave my wife the previous Christmas. Up to that point I used Win 7 and a 3rd app for editing and printing pictures on an HP Envy 7855 photo printer with no issues.
I installed the 3rd party app on my new laptop and again, I had no issues.

Around late September/early October, I started getting the occasional BSOD that became more frequent. I tried using the recovery disc I made and things only got worse. Since the the laptop was still under warranty, I sent it to HP for service. They replaced the hard drive and reinstalled windows (went from 1909 to 20H2). Everything was fine until I reinstalled the 3rd party app earlier this month and tried to print some pictures.

Now when I try to print a 5x7 picture, the picture is 4.75x6.25. Most disturbing. I've spent the better part of the last 2 weeks on the 3rd party app forum trying to resolve the issue until last night when I finally got my head out of my backside and went to my wife's computer, installed the 3rd party app, and printed 2 lovely full 5x7 pictures. I went "Huh", why could I print fine on her computer and not mine? The only difference is the version of the OS.

Now to make a long story slightly longer, I decided to use Paint 3D to print a couple of pictures. Lo and behold, the print preview in Paint 3D showed EXACTLY what I had been getting on my laptop since the new install.

Now, finally, to my questions. Is there, or could there be, something in the 20H2 version of windows that is causing or allowing Paint 3D or another app to override the printer settings from the 3rd party app? If there is how do I get around it? I saw something that will let me "Terminate" Paint 3D. Is that the same as "Disable" and would there be a problem doing that? Might that solve my issue?

I know it's taken a while to get to the point but I thought the background might help.

    :)
