  1. 'Can't download no permissions' problem

    Hope someone can help.

Was having some issues so did a Windows reset. Seems to have sorted my problems but now I cannot reinstall all my programs as whenever I ask Edge to download a file I get this error even though I'm Administrator and all my permissions seem fine.

Spent hours googling and spoke to online Windows support to no avail. Tried another reset and still the same.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

  2. No permissions

    Hi,

I would suggest you to right click on the user's folder for your profile and check if the permissions shows as "read only'. If this is the case, it might be causing the issue. In this case, I would suggest you to go to C:\User folder, right click on the
folder with your username and follow these steps:

    • Open the properties of the main user profile folder where the files are located (such as Documents, Pictures, etc).
    • Go to the Security tab and click Advanced.
    • Check the box at the bottom of this window. It is labeled "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" and then click Ok.
This does a one-time action that replaces the security on all the files/subfolders. It’s one-time, so you won’t find that box checked if you peek at it later. Try these steps and let us know the results for further assistance.

New here and seeking for help: problems with graphic card

Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.

    'Can't download no permissions' problem

    Problem with windows permission

    Hi bharatsinghal

To rset permissions and ownership on that WindowsApps folder, here are the steps:

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

From the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

    icacls "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" /reset /t /c /q

When that command completes, close Command Prompt and restart (not shut down) your PC . . .
