Windows 10: WSL explorer.exe not found

I've been using wsl for a few months now with no problems, but today I just cannot use explorer.exe to open up the windows file system. Literally 12 hours ago it had no issues, now it doesn't recognize the command

Edit: Somehow, wsl cannot access windows files anymore, it sees /mnt/c as empty. Any reason this might have happened?

Very simple steps to control files on Network Drive from WSL are as follows:

1. At first, tap down both the Windows and the letter E key at a time. This will open the File Explorer on the screen.
   
2. After that, from the left-hand side panel click on Linux and then
   hit on the Distros shortcut, that is present at the right-hand side of the window.
   
3. Next, open the running WSL distro (ex: Ubuntu) folder, to see the files that you want.
   
4. Further, double-click on the folder named as Home under the
   list, to open.
   
5. Now, open the folder.

WSL 2

I want to make use of WSL 2 feature with the new update of Windows version 2004 , in order to use WSL 2 i need to enable Virtualization in my pc bios settings. So when i enable virtualization my windows starts lagging and all the animations of scrolling
etc etc lags...Please suggest me something to fix that so that i could use the new virtualization feature.
