  1. Windows 10 Activation Questions

    Hi there!

I am about to sell my old PC which I initially installed Windows 7 on and later upgraded to Windows 10 during the free upgrade period. During this period of use, I linked the license to my Microsoft account. After recently building my new PC, I installed Windows and signed in using my Microsoft account so I could continue using Windows under my existing licence. I completely wiped my old PC and reinstalled Windows 10 using Media Creation Tool and signed in with a local account thinking it wouldn't be activated, but to my surprise it says "Windows is activated with a digital license". I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how my Microsoft account is able to retain an activated license at the same time as my old PC. I'm also concerned about selling my old PC now as I don't know if I'll be affected when the new owners logs in using their Microsoft account. Will that remove the key from my Microsoft account and transfer it to theirs? Or is it entirely separate? I would really appreciate it if some of you could help me understand this situation and tell me if it's safe to sell my old PC or not. Thanks so much.

    Windows 10 activation question

    do the upgrade
it should activate automatically when online
if you want todo a clean install after that simply boot from your windows 10 installation media and when prompted for a key during install/post install select skip ..
it will re-activate within 5M of being online

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
