I have a question about game and family sharing. My wife wants to buy a game but have me be able to have access to it on my own PC.

When I was looking at setting up a family account it said I can share games across multiple machines and accounts. When we're trying to set it up the only tutorial I can seem to find is adding my account to her machine. Obviously we don't want to do this.

Are we missing a step somewhere? Or is that actually the only way to share games across accounts, by being signed into the same machine?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Can't share game clips

    Hi Bwax687,

The incorrect configuration setting is one of the reasons why you are getting this error: "There might be a problem with the service, or it could be because of your privacy settings or past behavior. To check your privacy settings, go to Xbox.com." when
you are trying to share your game clips. To help you resolve this concern, I need to collect more information. Kindly answer the questions below:

    • When did the issue start?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far?
    • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox app?

In the meantime, I suggest that you run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. This can help remove problem with an app from Microsoft Store.
