Windows 10: Taskbar stays loading and wont work on new PC.

Hello,

I recently got a new Alienware PC, after a couple of days I started to realize that upon startup my Taskbar would just sit there and load, load, and load. I can see the start menu button, the search bar, Cortana button, and the task view, as well as the date and the notifications menu. I cannot click on anything however.

If I try to click on anything then it just makes the screen turn black for a millisecond, like something reset, but it still does not work. I updated everything on /u/Don0saur

ThrottleStop 8.60 Stays in Taskbar

Hello!

I have an issue with ThrottleStop 8.60 (And 8.50U) staying in the taskbar when minimizing and not going to the notification area. The notification icon is there but it is always in the taskbar too. If I check 'Minimize on Close it still stays in the taskbar. Is this a bug or does anyone know how to get it off my taskbar and only in the notification bar?

taskbar icons wont load

somehow the task bar icons wont load at all. so i cant get into control panel. whats causing this?

oh sorry, taskbar icons wont load at all..so i clicked multiple times to bring them back up, so its fine now.....but whats with the delay?

 

On new Windows 10 PC, screensaver stays up and I can't get my windows to appear

I have a new Acer Revo Windows 10 PC. Various windows such as firefox are open and appear in the taskbar. I have a screensaver (a green hilly picture, which I guess is from Acer) showing. When I mouse over, say, the firefox icon in the taskbar, i can see
the contents of my (firefox) windows. But when I click on an icon, nothing happens (other than the icon lighting up); the screensaver just stays up. Same thing with other windows.

The problem doesn't always happen, but it does most of the time. While migrating from my old Windows 7 PC (which I'm typing this on), I keep moving the monitor cable from one PC to the other, in case that matters.

The Acer online tech support person suggested that I reset my BIOS on the new PC, saying that I wouldn't lose any data. (Steps: Power off, power on load the default configuration, save and exit.)

How should I deal with this? Should I reset the BIOS as Acer suggested? Or is there a better solution? Thanks.
