  1. Migrate Windows 10 OS

I cloned my old Hard drive to a 1tb Samsung Evo 860 SSD with Minitool Partition Wizard. I set my Evolution 860 SSD as the boot drive and everything works except one minor thing. It removed power options like shut down and restart. What can I do to do fix this? I already tried register editor and the other Security Policies solutions from going on threads off of websites from google but they didn't work. I can easily go around this by doing Ctrl+Although+Delete and Lock>Shut down. But I would still like to fix the problem.

Another question. So originally after cloning I was going to move Windows OS from the Evo 860 1tb to a Western Digital 240gb SSD to use the smaller one as the boot drive and the 1tb for games only but when I try to Select the 240gb target SSD after I click "migrate OS", it says that the target 240gb WD drive is too small in size. I tried formatting the drive and also made a new partition of 2gb for the OS but this didn't work. What other solution do I have?

  2. OS Migration

I have a PC that has become very slow at booting up. Sometimes it takes so long to be ready to use, I have to re-boot it again in order for it so be useable at all. It has 2 x 1TB HDDs in it & the one with the OS on it is at about 95% full. So I guess that
this could be the reason it is so slow to get going.

    • Would it improve it at all if I was to migrate the OS onto an SSD?
    • Is it possible to migrate the OS alone to the SSD & leave all the data on the HDD?
    • If it is, what then happens to the OS on the HDD?
    • Also what happens to access to existing data in Windows folders like Documents, music etc?
    So many questions.

This is probably in the wrong section but I couldn't find anything appropriate.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
