Windows 10: hp wireless printer setup-setup says my network is 5g, but my printer only supports 2.4,...

trying to setup hp printer deskjet 3700 series.

it says my network is 5g and the printer only supports 2.4.

it says to change it, but where and how do i do that.

Step 2: Make sure your printer is installed and setup and ensure that Bluetooth is enabled.

Tap the plus sign on the app home screen.

The app searches for printers connected to the network.

If you have one or more printers already connected to the wireless network, tap the printer you want to use.

Selecting a printer

If you are setting up a new printer on the network, tap Add Printer or Set up a new printer, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printer setup.

 

wireless printer adapter??

hey guys here is the setup:
Printer in the living room, router in the family room (25 ft away), and laptop (anywhere in the house)
what she wants to do is hook up the printer through the network without moving the printer or the router. she wants to be able to print from anywhere in the house to that printer. printer is an HP Photosmart C5180 AIO.

i tried to hook it up through Dell Wireless 3300. I followed the adapter instructions and set it up right. upon the installation of the printer through the network, i could not find it. when i check through the adapter webpage, it does say that it recognizes the printer and that it is online. is this the wrong adapter or am i doing it wrong. i also checked compatibility between the printer and the adapter but the seller (offered me a refund) told me that he had it working no problem with all kinds of printers... HELP!

 

Wireless printer does not show my Asus router 5g network

When trying to setup my HP Officejet 4655 to be on the same network as my computer the list does not show my 5g network. I had the printer working fine before Xfinity did an update and shut down my internet for a day.
