Windows 10: sharing folder, stream videos to my LG smart tv problem

i had windows 10 pro with LG smart tv, i used to watch my movies with my LG smart tv connected to shared folder through my home network.

i played my files though my tv didn't need to touch my PC.

last week i got new computer with windwos 10 HOME all updates are updated, i shared my VIDEOS FOLDER as usuall, and for some reason the folders are showen but my files w'ont play, but if i "cast" my video files with my PC to the LG smart tv i watch the movies with no problems.

becouse of the problems i installed LG pc software "LG SMART SHARE" , through the software i can watch and controll my movies with my LG smart tv.

i cant understand why i can't watch my shared files as allways, All sharing settings correct as far as I can see,

Network Discovery, File and Printer sharing etc is all on, all folders shared.

I've done this a few times with previous Windows but no idea why it doesn't work.

any suggestions?

To assist you better, I like to know; how exactly you are trying to stream video from your PC to LG Smart TV?

As an initial step, I suggest you to try updating the display adapter on your system.

Follow the below steps:

• Click on the Start button, and type Device Manager on the search bar.
• Open Device Manager, expand Display Adapters.
• Find and double-click Display Adapters from the left panel to update.
• Right-click the device, and click Update.

As you are able to play the video full screen in your PC, then it might be an issue related to LG Smart TV. I suggest you to check for the LG Smart TV manual and check what all settings need to done to play video in full screen.

PC to LG Smart TV

How can I connect laptop to LG Smart TV (wirelessly) to watch DVD or saved movies? I've followed instructions for the LG Smart Share and researched processes but none work. Windows 10 does not have things Smart Share says to look for. I was able to do
it a few months ago streaming HBO to go from laptop but can no longer find a correct process.
