Can my system handle a GTX 960 + Installation

    Hello all!

For anyone that knows me, HOPEFULLY all my pc problems have been solved, I also have some great news.

My friend bought a new video card and is giving me her GTX 960 (i think 4gb version). Which is miles better then my 570 *Biggrin.

My question is, can my current specs handle it? I did some quick research and it definetely seems like it is. My PSU can definetely handle it because its actually 70 watts less then what I'm using right now.

The only thing Im not sure on is the PSU power cable for it, I currently have 2x 6 pin connectors connected on my 570 with one of the 6 pin cables having a little 2 pin coming out of it hanging of the side not connected to anything. The 960 takes a 8 pin connector (if i'm not mistaken), am I supposed to use only that one 6 +2pin on that?

Also when changing over the cards the steps I came across where using DDU to uninstall my current gpu drivers, turn off the PC, then put in new GPU and install new drivers.

Is there anything else I should know when changing over the GPU in regards to compatibility and installation?

Thank you Can my system handle a GTX 960 + Installation :)

    Version: 20H2

    :)
