  2. Mimicking mouse / cursor hover behavior with touch

I have searched forums for a solution to the missing cursor hover behavior in Win 10 with
touch, and I would add to those but they are all closed. (Such as
How to cursor hover by finger on touchscreen? (Surface Pro 3, Windows 10.
    )

The work around I have found is to use the on-screen (virtual) touchpad. It can be enabled on taskbar just like the virtual keyboard, per attached screenshots.

So whenever you need to hover to find a menu or function, rather than messing around with touch & hold, enable the virtual touchpad and then move the cursor to where you need with it.

If there is another solution that doesn't require this additional step, please let me know.

This problem mostly impacts my Kindle reader has a hover menu not available by touch. I'd use this even more for columns to resizing in File Explorer or Outlook (which work okay via touch but can get messy) but the virtual touchpad doesn't have the grab
    and move functionality.

    Hope this helps someone.

When I Hover My Cursor Over Avast Cleanup Premium It Goes Away.

    Hi Sonayon,

There are several possible reasons why the cursor disappears when you hover it over an icon or notification on the taskbar. It can be because of changes made or hardware issues.

For us to better assist you with this concern, we need to ask a few questions:

    • Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
    • Do you experience the same issue when you hover the cursor over other icons or notifications?
    • Under Settings > Select which icons appear on the taskbar, have you tried turning the button under
"Always show all icons in the notification area" off and then on again?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

To help resolve the issue, you can refer to the information provided in the article on this

    link
    .

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.
