Windows 10: Can't login to my account without PIN, can't change PIN without PIN, don't know PIN.

The problem began because my OneNote was logged out of one of my microsoft accounts - the account associated with my Windows laptop. To log back in, it demands either my fingerprint reader, which stopped working, or my PIN, which I can't remember. I can't change my pin from the settings. When I go to settings - account - sign-in option, it says "Windows Hello Pin is currently unavailable" and underneath that, "Sorry, this PIN isn't working for your organization's resources. Tap or click here to fix it." I click, and it asks me to verify my identity... with a fingerprint or PIN.


One final piece of info which might be relevant, Windows apps have been defaulting to ask me to log into my work account recently, the account I'm posting with now. Thought that could be what "your organization" is referring to.

Pin Login not available and can't change or remove my pin

Hi Saschavan,

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

Cannot pin some shortcuts to taskbar


Don`t use your desktop to pin icons to the taskbar, use your start menu list.
