Windows 10: external blu-ray-usb2 or 3?

Discus and support external blu-ray-usb2 or 3? in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; so, I'm looking to grab an external blu ray drive, question becomes, do I get a usb 2, or usb 3, drive? does the connectivity speed even matter here,...     so, I'm looking to grab an external blu ray drive, question becomes, do I get a usb 2, or usb 3, drive?
    does the connectivity speed even matter here, considering most blu ray drives cant pump the data at speeds that need a usb 3 connection?

    second question...I have a budget of $100..what blu ray drive delivers consistent results and is NOT a ye olde pain in the rear just to get it to play nice with windows 10?

    Samsung SE-506CB External Slim Blu-ray Re-Writer not working on surface 3

    I bought a Samsung SE-506CB External Slim Blu-ray Re-Writer. when connect to my surface 3 window 10, it only can read dvd but when insert a blu ray BD-R or BD-RE disk, the blu ray drive icon disappear from my computer. I check the firmware for blu ray is
    latest version TS02.

    I connect it to my old hp note book window 7, it is working fine. So is it surface 3 window 10 cannot support external blu ray drive?

    Extrenal Blu-Ray not recognized?

    HI, Running Alienware x51 with Windows 10. I own a Sony BD5740H-01 external Blu-Ray writer. It is housed in a generic external case I bought from China. I look in Device Manager to locate and nothing is listed either in the Disc Drives or USB folders.
    I've searched for drivers for the Blu-Ray and the enclosure but they are unsupported (from 2012) What can I do to get it working? Thanks external blu-ray-usb2 or 3? :)
