  1. Can I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10?

I need to clean install Windows 10 to fix some OS issues. I don't have external data backup facilities, my laptop being my prime data storage. Can I transfer all my files to D: or E: drive and Clean install Windows safely? Will clean installation erase my entire 1TB HDD ?

    :)

  3. A partition drive is e and not d in windows 10

Hi guys, when I installed windows 10 I did it using a USB. I went from windows 7 to windows 10. With Windows 7 I had made a partition, so I had OS (CCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :) and (Data (DCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :). When I installed Windows 10 (using the USB), what used to be Data (DCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :), became (Data (ECan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :),
as the usb became Drive (DCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :). So what I have now, after removing the usb is: OS (CCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :) and (Data (ECan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :). And whenever I connect and external drive, such as a usb or a backup external hard drive, it becomes Drive (DCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :). My question is if this is a problem, to have
OS (CCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :) and (Data (ECan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :), instead of Data being D:? Is it important for Data to be D and not E, because when I start my computer, I don't always have connected a Drive D? Should I always have something connected to the computer so it becomes Drive D? Should
I re-install Windows 10 and make sure that Data is D:? Is this an issue for having (Data (ECan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :) and not as (Data (DCan I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10? :)? I'm saying this because it's not following a right sequence and C and E are partitions, which were part of a same drive once, and it's not
following a sequence now. My computer has had some issues and I'm wondering if this could be the cause.

    Thanks!

Can I backup my files in D/E Drives of the partition for Clean Installation of Windows 10?

A partition drive is e and not d in windows 10

Both of the Directly "advisors'" responses thus far fail to point out (in addition to misspelling "Disk" Management) that if the flash drive has been assigned the drive letter "E" it won't be an available choice when you try to change the
letter on the drive. You will need to first remove the "D" designation on the flash drive, then assign "D" to the partition.
