Windows 10: Lenovo G50-80 successfully updated to Win10 20h2 - at last

My Lenovo G50-80 has been "stuck" on win10 version 1909, with an indication that an update will be available soon, for over a year: This seems to be a problem to many among the Lenovo community. I tried, like others, various approaches, including a fresh install, to no avail, until now. I spotted this link to the latest win update here on this forum:

I made a full backup, then downloaded the update, launched from the laptop and let it do its stuff. Lo and behold! Win10 20h2 installed with (so far) no issues. All data and programs preserved. Thumbs up and thanks.

Lenovo G50-80 stopped working after window 10 upgrade

I have a lenovo G50-80 laptop with windows 8. I upgraded to windows 10, it was working fine for the first 2 days.. I shut it off and a couple weeks went by. When I turned it on, it did nothing. The battery indicator light was white and would blink once
every couple seconds. I hit the enter button and the lenovo screen came on and it said something about starting to repair then the screen goes black. It will not do anything else.
