    Unable to use Kanji with Japanese IME


    Hey!

    I am unable to use Kanji with the Japanese IME Keyboard, is there a way to fix this? It only lets me switch between Hirigana and Katakana

    Japanese IME kanji guessing

    Whenever I use the Microsoft Japanese IME keyboard, it has a little text window where it offers suggestions for what kanji to use. I'd like to turn it off, because I need to study the words in hiragana. Any advice would be great.

    Japanese IME not working

    I've been using japanese IME for years, and recently it's really buggy and not working properly.

    I initially had issues getting it to give the correct kanji, simple words were not included in the list of possible kanji and I decided to reinstall the IME.

    I reisntalled, and the problem persists. For example, I try to write a simple work, such as 'kakimasu'. Usually I would expect the first character 'kaku' to show me the correct character in kanji, with the hiragana verb ending. Instead what I get is a set
    of homophones the actual meaning of which bear no relation to the word I am trying to type.

    Note, this isn't for all words, often it works fine, but it keeps cropping up for verb endings and is driving me up the wall.

    Any help appreciated.
