  1. Using latest image of Windows 10 Pro with license key from older retail version

    Good day everyone,

I've bought 4 years ago Windows 10 Pro Russian version box version with flash drive and now I want to upgrade my hardware and re-install operating system. Windows 10 image on this flash drive is already quite outdated and my question is:

    - Can I burn the latest image of Win 10 Pro Ru on flash drive and use my license key for activation?

    - If so, where I can download such image will this link help - https://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/software-download/windows10?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. The main question is whether license key will fit for latest image from the MS site

    :)

Windows 10 Pro Full Retail Version Product Key Issue

    Hello,

I purchased the full retail version of Windows 10 Pro and performed a clean install using

the product key contained in the retail package. After the clean install using the full retail version the "Activation" in "Update and Security" showed that it was a Product Key.

After the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition was installed, it shows as being activated with a digital license. I used 'showkeyplus' as recommended by a MVP and it shows the original OEM key and then the full retail key. It is treating my retail install as
an upgrade and assigning it a digital license.

How do I get it back to the Product Key entitlement? Quite frankly, this is upsetting after spending the money on the full version. Does this mean if I purchase a new laptop and want to perform a clean install of the full retail version of Windows 10 Pro
on it that license is tied to the old laptop?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Windows 10 Home (OEM) to Windows 10 Pro (Retail) license

Hello, first of all i'm sorry if my english is a bit broken.

i have questions regarding those that i mentioned on the title above, not the steps of the installation but the license.

i have a laptop running Windows 10 Home right now (lets say it is machine "A"), and planning to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro using retail product key. On the other hand i have a plan to get a new machine next year (machine "B").

    1. What will happen with "A" Win 10 Home OEM license if i upgrade it to Win 10 Pro Retail version? does the OEM license just get straight away overwritten or deleted?

    2. I read an article that Retail version of windows can be moved to another machine as long as it is not installed or removed from previous machine. Can i install the Windows 10 Pro version on "B" that previously installed on "A", after deleting it from
    "A"?

    3. Can i install the Windows 10 Home version back on "A" and get activated using default OEM license?

Your answer is much appreciated, thank you.

Using latest image of Windows 10 Pro with license key from older retail version

Restoring Windows 10 Image on Original hardware with Retail licensing

I bought a 'mini-PC' with Windows 10 Pro(which I can link if necessary) and I want to be able to do 'clean reinstalls' if something gets mucked up. I pulled the licenses for Windows and Office for safe keeping and created a system image. I was going to test the Image restore but remembered the product listing it as a 'retail' license that 'would not work if it was removed and reinstalled on the computer.'

Will I be able to reimage this computer an unlimited number of times on the same set of hardware, not transferring to another box or changing hardware?
