  1. Context Menu Command Prompt and AppliesTo Registry String

Please see the last three or four threads in: Add or Remove Command Prompt Open Here Context Menu in Windows 10 as they have pictures.

I want to add Command Prompt to the right click menu and to show up on Folder Right-Clicks and Folder Backgrounds. Problem is, the registry modifications also add Command Prompt to Library backgrounds as well and the prompt does not work for those virtual directories.

Anyway, how would I modify the Directory\Background and Library Background keys so that the context menu DOES NOT show up when right clicking (1) Main Library in Nav Pane, (2) Specific Library (Documents, Music etc.) in the Navigation Pane (see first pic) as well as (3) Main Library background in the folder view but (4) DOES show up when right clicking the background WITHIN the specific library like music, (2nd pic), where the shell opens up properly?

Please see the last posts in the link above for pictures and more details.

    Thanks!

    :)

Locked Powershell startup command in context menu

Since updating to Windows Anniversary Edition, there is an inaccessible Powershell command in my startup context menu.

There are two keys, one each for 'Directory' and 'Drive'.

On both the program is listed as "Open Powershell window here",

and the file command is: powershell.exe -noexit -command Set-Location '%V'

What is this, and why is it here.

I have tried to both disable, and to delete it. Both FAIL. Access is denied.

I have even gone to the registry location and attempted to put a (-) before the default value string.

This action should disable the item. I have also tried to delete the value string for the entire item.

With both of these maneuvers I am told that I cannot edit value string.

I have taken ownership of, and given all users full access to Powershell.exe, and tried all of these step again,

AND IT STILL WILL NOT DISABLE OR DELETE!!!

Has anyone else run into this?

Change target of "Edit" command in context menus

Hey all... I'm trying to change the Edit command on the context menu in Vista. I know you can get programs that edit this stuff, but I only want to change it for jpegs so I can load photoimpact easily (don't say "get photoshop", I'm just used to photoimpact). So ideally I would just find the registry entry and change it, but can't find it *Frown Context Menu Command Prompt and AppliesTo Registry String :(

    Anyone know how?
