I'm trying to find a fix for my messed up audio. When playing games, direction-oriented sounds don't work as they should, and balancing my audio in

my sound preferences doesn't help. Audio sounds normal when one output is dialled all the way up and the other isn't, but I suspect this is what is interfering with direction-oriented sounds. I've turned Windows Sonic on multiple times, and have even uninstalled and reinstalled audio drivers. I've tried updating my drivers as well, but to no avail. I know this is an issue with my PC because I've used the same headphones on another device and they are able to produce directional sound without problems I used this video to test. Has anyone experienced a similar muffled/distorted sound even when audio levels are balanced?

    :)
