So we're all on the same page, here is the topic for this question:

Update to Windows 20H2 changed my Microsoft Account Login screen!! 5d83b4da-3aea-4202-a456-6f0b65ddd236?upload=true.jpg

    Feature: Windows 10 Login Screen

Description: The nice picturesque screen, showing system time, following a system boot up. Clicking anywhere causes the screen to blur and presents the user with the last login, with alternate logins stacked on the lower left side. The last users avatar and username is displayed in the center, with the words "sign-in" below it. Clicking on this presents the user with a textbox to enter their password. The Windows Lock Screen if set will look the same, and have the same functionality.

I have 2 systems that were upgraded to 20H2 from 2004. Both are using the Microsoft Account sign-in feature, so both are linked to my Microsoft Account. For context purposes, we'll call these SYS A and SYS B.

SYS A has my daughters set-up via the Family feature in Windows so they can log in and use this system. They also sign-in using their Microsoft Accounts. They are both Administrators, and the system has a single monitor in case it matters.

SYS B is my personal system, and only has my Microsoft Account setup for use it also has a local account for me just in case I need to sign in locally, not using Microsoft. Both accounts are Administrators, and this system has 3 monitors in case it matters.

Both systems had the upgrade to 20H2. SYS A was able to do the upgrade via Windows Update, however SYS B was upgraded manually after downloading the update from the Windows Update Catalog due to a persistent update error when using Windows Update.

Both updates when fine. SYS A took approx 5 minutes after reboots, etc while SYS B took almost 30 after reboots, etc.

After the updates, SYS A saw no noticable changes to the Windows Login Screen. SYS B on the other hand now displays the "Microsoft Account" popup sign-in window when the "sign-in" on the login screen is clicked. Prior to the update, it showed the textbox to enter the account password directly on the login screen just like SYS A still does.

For SYS B, this is extremely annoying!! Having 3 monitors, there is a lot of screen flickering with a blue background showing up before the popup is displayed, and more of the same flickering after the password is entered and the popup closes. When the desktop is shown, it now takes a second to arrange the screens and set scaling didn't do that before the update. Another reason this is very annoying besides messing with my ZEN is that I have my screen saver to require authentication on resume. Before the update, I just entered my password on the lock screen. Now, that same popup appears again with the annoying screen flickering. Also, when the desktop appears, startup items that were QUIT in the system tray after initial login reappear, as if the startup sequence was reran.

Is there a setting somewhere that will put things back the way they were on login screen like SYS A? Why did the 20H2 update change this?

    :)

Windows 20H2 changed my login screen

Today I updated 4 of my laptops to the 20H2 feature update. One of the laptops did not have the update prompt, so I used the Windows 10 Update assistant. The machine I used the update assistant successfully updated, but unlike the other 3 machines it changed
my login and now instead of allowing me to enter my password, it shows a sign in button. When sign in is clicked a windows account login screen opens, when I enter my account info I then get the windows Hello prompts. When I close the windows hello prompts
windows logs me in. Is there a way to get my login back the way it was, linking my local account to my windows account is fine but its annoying that the microsoft prompt opens and windows hello prompt opens every time I try to log into my computer or unlock
    it.
