Windows 10: Feature update windows 10 version 20h2 refuses to finish installing on tablet

Hi


I have a HP Elite pad 1000 G2:

processor: intel R AtomTM CPU

Z3795 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz

Installed Ram: 4GB


It is Windows 10pro, version 2004 os build 19041.450 64bit.


The feature update 20h2 downloads & installs and then when it goes to restart then it gives that working on updates screen and gets to 33% and restarts then the tablet goes to that blue error screen the BOSD screen, then after a few seconds it restarts again and goes into a repair state, tablet repairs and then uninstalls the updates and then i can work on it again but i can not pause these updates cause it says that it needs to be installed first, so it now downloaded again the updates and now its waiting for a restart. What can i do to bypass or ignore this update? Or can i do a clean installation and and clean install the 20h2 version as is instead of letting it upgrade from 2004 to 20h2? Cause i can not install any other updates except for the microsoft store updates.

The KB4562830 Enablement Package allows you to go from build 19041 (v2004) to 19042 (v20H2).

Update History is not showing v.20H2

This is normal behavior in Windows 10, typically when you install a Feature Update like 20h2, the update history is wiped, this is to prevent the user from trying to uninstall an update that was prior to the Feature Update, which would de-stabilize Windows
10, the list should start building again, when some updates are applied to version 20h2 . . .

If you download version 2004 and install it directly while in 20H2, It will remove everything on your system.

To avoid that, Please try the method below.

Press Windows key+I to open Settings > Update and Security

Select View Update History > Click Uninstall Updates

Select “Feature update to Windows 10 20H2 via enablement package” right-click it and choose to uninstall.
