Windows 10: Is something wrong with my keyboard?

I can't write anything at all anywhere, but for some reason the fn + F shortcuts still work though. The problem started when i needed to write the password to my wifi where i just kept typing but nothing appeared, so i thought i'd write it on a note pad then copy it but i couldn't write there as well, i also tried office word and the search bar which they didn't work as well. It wasn't always like that because i used to write out with the keyboard just fine. Is this a hardware problem? Or am i just a dumbass?

Wrong keyboard layout in login page after update to 1607

Hi,

Since the issue reoccurred after updating to anniversary update, I suggest you to reconfigure the QWERTY keyboard layout and check if the same issue persists. This is to check if the issue is with Windows 10 1607 update.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to configure the keyboard layout:

• Open Settings and click on Time and Language.
• Click on Region and Language.
• Add the Country and click on add a language and select the language of your choice.
• This will take time to download the pack.
• Once this is done, Press Windows key + Space and press Space key to choose the keyboard layout.

Keyboard problem in Windows 10

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.

  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.
