    Consolidating Accounts

    Hi Microsoft,

I have an issue where, over years of using Microsoft and its various products and services, I have unknowingly split my data between three different accounts - all in the same Microsoft "family" but using different logins for some reason.

    - One is linked to my icloud email, the one which I actually use as a personal email address - this is the one I want to make my primary, but right now it's only hooked up to my Xbox. I have tried utilizing the alias system to make the other emails aliases of this account, but it gives me an error message saying they're already taken. I also read various other threads looking for a solution to no avail and have been informed it's impossible to merge accounts now, even if you have full access to all of them and they're all yours for some godforsaken reason so my goal now is to transfer all the data and linked devices/services/accounts associated with the other Microsoft accounts to this one.

    - The account associated with the outlook email is the one I use to sign in to my personal PC i.e., it's the administrative user. I have never used it as an actual email address nor do I plan to, and I must have made it by accident when I first got my PC. I want to transfer all of my user data to the account associated with the icloud.

    - The third and final account is linked to my father's yahoo email, which is obviously a problem given my data is attached. This is a legacy from when I was much younger. My Skype account is irreversibly linked to this account, and I would much prefer if it would be somehow switched over, but I never use it anymore anyways and I wouldn't mind having to close it. More importantly, my OneDrive cloud backup with all my valuable PC data is associated with this account and I want to link it to the one with the icloud. I'm sure there's also other data buried in this account I can't even remember and I would prefer to be able to find and transfer that too, but the user interface doesn't make it clear.

I recently turned 18 and I'm going off to college next year, so I want to get this mess cleaned up and consolidated under my name before I go. Here is a picture of the account's family screen to help clear up any misunderstandings:

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    Consolidating multiple MS accounts

Hi, I've seen that there was a conversation on here nearly 4 years ago about consolidating accounts or changing the accounts into a single account. The answer was at that time that it couldn't be done. Can you tell me whether you've managed to sort out
this problem and if so, how do I consolidate my accounts so that I only have 1 microsoft account (if that's what I choose) which can be used across all of my devices and apps?

    Consolidating multiple MS accounts

    Hi Mike147LL

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. No, it is still different Microsoft accounts and you can't consolidate into one Microsoft account, as of now. People have been demanding this since long but due to technical/architectural reasons (in my view),
this has still not been accomplished.

But at the same time, many services use Microsoft accounts to drive their services so that you don't require a different account for each service. For example, earlier Skype had its own account but now uses Microsoft account as its driver. This page lists down
all Microsoft services which use Microsoft account as their driver
