Windows 10: Hello Pin to add apps

I have 2 microsoft accounts, one for my work and one personal. I am currently logged into my personal account on my Windows laptop. When I attempt to add an app from the online Windows store I get a popup window to log in. I then log in with my personal account password and get another popup window to verify my identity with a pin. I can’t remember my personal account pin actually, I never remember making one So I clicked the button that says I forgot my PIN. The popup window opens and says to go to settings/accounts/sign-in options. When I go to sign-in options/Windows Hello PIN it says “this option is not currenty available - Sorry this PIN isn’t working for your organization’s resources. Tap or click here to fix it.” When I do, a popup window opens that says “Your organization requires you to set up your work account with Windows Hello Face, Fingerprint or PIN. I am on my personal computer and logged in to my personal Microsoft Windows account. In my sign-in options, under Windows Hello PIN, why is Windows referencing my work account and blocking my attempt to change or remove a PIN? I am not logged into my work account! This is very frustrating. You are making it to complicated and difficult to use your product. How can I access the Windows Store and install apps without a PIN?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to set up PIN.

• Open Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options.
• Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
• Do the same for the Windows Hello.

How to pin app shortcut to desk top?

I suggest you to follow below steps to change pin the apps on the desktop screen and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to perform the below steps to add the apps on desktop.

• Click on the “Start button” and locate the App that you want to pin to Desktop.
• Right click on the “App” and click on “More options”.
• Then click on “Open File location” and right click on the app, click on “Send to” option.
• Then select “Desktop (Create shortcut)”.
• Go to “Desktop” and check whether the app is located or not.

Or Step 2: To add shortcuts to the desktop

• Press and hold or right-click the desktop, tap or click New, and then tap or click Shortcut.
• Enter the location of the item or tap or click Browse to find the item in File Explorer.
