Advice about partitioning my MBR SSD

    Hello,
I've read the Basic and Dynamic notes from MS here
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/win...DN#basic_disks and this is what I'd like to achieve - I think.

But I've made a mistake in my installing win10 to a brand new SSD, in that I don't have enough partitions to do my stuff. I didn't realise that installing win10 creates 3 partitions, and with the remaining one I am allowed I used disk management to partition C:\ and have moved all user profiles and other data, and now I've got nothing left to create some standalone data storage silos. See my disk management screenshot below. From the colours my E:\ is an extended partition and a logical drive. My disk is MBR.

Possible question is a logical drive a separate drive space from other logical drives on the same partition, the same as a partition is separate from other partitions. If it is then I'd like to have drives G:\ H:\......n
    Thanks, Stuart

Sweet, I've just done as you suggested and everything works. I shrank the partition and made a new 24GB volume leaving space to see how it works. Screenshot with mynew24

I went into BIOS and then on the boot list option I clicked the view button and moved the window so you could see the rest of the screen and this is the Legacy (its what I'm on now).

Then I selected the UEFI boot option and clicked on the view button moved the disk info window. At the top it changed to windows boot manager. Assume you know what all this means. Hopefully it helps.

I've just read Shawns tut about legacy bios to uefi without data loss.
Is it so that because I have UEFI in the BIOS that my laptop motherboard supports UEFI and I can use this MBR2GPT tool. Even before going down this route can I test to see if things are installed, I've got some questions.....
