  1. Old computer, installed new ram and SSD and windows 10 to give it a boost for a year or two...

Im not a tech guy and know just enough to get by with simple trouble shooting, but im new to windows 10 and this new error has me stumped.

New install on a new hard drive of an old computer, and I keep getting "kmode not handled" and blue screen restart. I though it was my graphics card so uninstalled all the gpu drivers but it still crashes on me. I've read a few suggestions and followed the advice(unclicked the fast start up, updated all drivers with driver booster, manual installed a few drivers that were missed) and nothing worked. I can't tell what the problem is, maybe a conflict with my motherboard? My hardware is so old it is not supported anymore and I'm not sure where else to look for answers.

Funnily enough, my tech friends that were urging me to do this have suddenly gone silent when I asked them what to do.

I built this 10 years ago, I replaced the old spin drive for solid state and got new memory, and did a fresh install of windows 10

    -Mobo: asrock p67 extreme LGA 1155 -SSD(new) Vengeance DDR3 16gb(2 sticks x 8gb)(new) Cpu: i5 2500 3.3ghz Vid: amd radeon HD6950 2gb

Any guidance or help would really save me.

  2. Old SSD to new computer

I have an old SSD that I would like to install and use on a new computer that already has one SSD and on HD. Windows is installed on the new computer on the SSD. However, windows was also installed on the old SSD I would like to move to the new computer.
When I hook up the old SSD windows will not start and goes to blue screen with options to recover, use different version of windows, etc. As soon as I disconnect it, windows boots right up again. How do I format the old one to get windows off of it to use
    it as storage?

New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.
