  1. How to restrict the use of certain websites?

    Hello,

Because of corona, my sibling (11) needs to work for school from home. I have taken her phone away when she needs to study, but a lot of her homework is done on the computer. She needs the internet to look up words, use Teams, etc...

I cannot stay at her computer 24/7, because I also have to study myself. Is there a way to block certain websites or at least limit the use of the internet to a handful of sites? Sites like roblox or youtube distract her for example.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Only allow certain websites option missing

    • According to microsoft.com you are supposed to have this option why is it missing from windows 10????

    • Websites is where you can turn on website restrictions for your child. You can choose to block or allow specific sites and to restrict websites rated beyond a certain age. If you have very young children, you can also
choose to only allow them to visit websites you've decided are safe.

  4. How to restrict the use of certain websites?

Can't access certain websites in Win10

    Hi Alan,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate your efforts and time.

    • As I understand you are unable to access certain websites, what websites are you not able to access?
    • Have you logged in with a Microsoft account or a local account?
I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Network troubleshooter. Either search for it in the Search or run it by following the link below.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/cant-connect-to-network#1TC=windows-8

    • Try a different network adapter/connection type if possible.
    • Check for Windows Updates.
    • Check for drivers for the network adapter.
    • Open a CMD window as Administrator:
      • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
      • sfc /scannow
      • netsh winsock reset
Also try to restart the DNS service.

    • Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click on Run.
    • Type services.msc. Click on Ok.
    • Then find DNS client. Right-click on it to Stop it and Restart it.
