  1. Mouse frozen& flickering top left (unless chrome is open then double)

I have been googling everything possible about this issue and have tried everything I've come across for the past 5+hours without success and I am so frustrated.

My mouse isn't the problem I've tried it on my laptop and it works perfectly. I tried a different mouse on my PC and it has the same problem.

The cursor is stuck in the top left corner and flickers. Somehow when I have chrome open it's like the mouse's soul can move around but also flickers, although it doesn't work on everything. For example I can get to YouTube but not click on a video or any website but I can't click login...

In the end I tried system repair, nothing. Tried to uninstall last update, nothing. I did a whole goddamn system restore to 4 days ago and NOTHING. I tried to get Microsoft support and also nothing! Mouse frozen& flickering top left (unless chrome is open then double) :D I can't even get to an agent.

I did restart in safemode and my cursor works just fine there but I can't work in safemode.

Help would be greatly appreciated because I have run out of things to try and am currently going insane and running late on work that is 100% done on PC. And obviously cannot do anything else either.

Mouse started double clicking on single click file randomly.

    Hi KathZ,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

    • Which version of Windows you are using? (To check, type: winver in start menu and hit enter.)
    • Does this issue occur on a different mouse?

This issue happens, if there is mouse/hardware issue or it can be settings issue. I would suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps as mentioned below:

    Method 1: Restore the defaults.

    1. Press Windows
and E key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Go to View tab on the top.
    3. Click on Options > Click on Change folder and Search options.
    4. Click on Restore Defaults.
      Click on Apply and Ok.

Method 2: Change the Mouse settings.

    1. Click on the Settings icon from the start menu.
    2. Click on Devices > Click on Mouse from the left panel of the window.
    3. Click on Additional Mouse Options from the right pane.
    4. This will open the Mouse Properties window, go to Buttons tab.
    5. Under the Double click speed, drag the slider to the left to slow down the double click speed.
    6. Next, go to Pointer options tab, uncheck the "Enhance Pointer Precision" to
disable pointer precision to slow down the mouse.

For more information, I would suggest you to follow the
    steps
provided in the post on 'Windows 10 mouse has started double clicking on single click randomly'.

    Hope it helps.

Let us know if you got the help you needed by clicking Yes or No.

After Win 10 Creator Fall Update Chrome Doesn't Work -- Black Screen

Thank you for the suggestion. I did as specified in the steps:

    1. Unpin Chrome icon from task bar so it is on the desktop.

    2. Right mouse click on said icon and left click on Properties.

    3. Click on Shortcuts tab

4A. In Target window, add this exact text: [space]--disable-gpu"

4B. The end of the text string in the Target window should now read: ...chrome.exe" --disable-gpu"

    5. Double click on the desktop icon and Chrome should open correctly. If you want, you may pin this icon to the taskbar.

    6. Left single click on the "Customize" icon in the top right, which is the 3 horizontal lines icon. Select "Settings" from the list.

    7. Select "Show advanced settings..." at the bottom.

    8. Deselect "Use hardware acceleration when available."

I get as far as step 5 where I double-click the desktop icon. Chrome still does not open correctly for me.

I still get a black window.

Flickering Mouse pointer in Asus X550LA

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our Windows 10 Creators Update.

To address the flickering, we suggest that you rollback the driver of your mouse, you may follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R on the desktop screen.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    • Expand the category you want and right click on the driver and select properties.
    • Navigate to driver tab and click on RollBack driver.

    Hope this information was helpful.
