Windows 10: Critical Process Died

    Critical Process Died


    Critical Process Died, I’ve been trying for the last 24 hours to resuscitate my laptop!


    For the record this is a new laptop with all the bells and whistles costing over £6k, less than 3 months old.


    Well what have I tried everything getting into:


    UNDER BLUE SCREEN:

    Window Safe mode Troubleshoot > Advance Options > Startup Settings > It Reset button > F1-9 flashes up so fast it hurts it takes 5-6 times and a camera to get the options F4 - FAILED just did nothing other than another Death by Critical Process.


    Oh what about REPAIR Troubleshoot > Advance Options > Startup Repair to fix problem - FAILED with D:\Window\System32\Logfiles\Srt\StrTrail.txt YES anybody any ideas what this means? Basically doesn’t do as it says on the tin “REPAIR”


    Reseting, well there are many ways to do this - Spoiler alert ALL FAILED


    Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files - and use my Outlook account / Password oh my current one did not work had to use my previous old password for this not sure why - Anyway FAILED

    Cloud download - Connecting ....... FAILED “unable to download”

    Local Reinstall - FAILED “There was a problem resetting your PC”


    Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove Everything, this looks promising NO

    Cloud download - FAILED “There was a problem resetting your PC”

    Local Reinstall - “There was a problem resetting your PC” - Thank you Microsoft for useless information - Oh FAILED

    Lets see what else is in Advance Options:


    System Restore - Now this should work, as the PC Laptop was working just a few days ago. Now in a dialogue box “System Restore”. Pressing NEXT! Wow one from the 26-Feb-2021 Type: Install and another 22-Feb-2021 Type: System. Now Pressing NEXT, it doesn’t matter which one neither work. The next dialogue box has a Yellow triangle “You must always restore the drives that contain windows, .....”. So it list “Local Disk C:” with status “You must enable system protection on this drive”. So I select but the NEXT button will not become enabled. What? Oh on the previous I did scan for affected programs.

    Uninstall Updates Troubleshoot > Advance Options > Unistall Updates- This must work because I think it just had an update. Now I have two options oh sorry both FAIL:


    Uninstall latest quality update now what does this mean “We ran into a problem and won’t be able to uninstall the latest quality update of windows” - FAILED


    Uninstall latest feature update Emmmmm “ “We ran into a problem and won’t be able to uninstall the latest feature update of windows. Try resetting your PC instead Troubleshoot > Rest this PC” - FAILED and yes tried restting this PC Laptop


    Oh there is the good old Command Prompt Troubleshoot > Advance Options > Command Prompt


    YES YES YES - Command Prompt works, tried a few things such as “Chkdsk /F” / “SFC / SCANNOW” a few other things I found on the internet.


    Well nothing seems to work other than a BLUE SCREEN of death on the laptop.

    Critical Process Died on windows 10 setup


    Ive just opened event viewer as you suggested but I cant seem to find any error that says "critical process died"

    I have attached a screenshot of the event viewer. I have scrolled to the bottom to where it first booted up.

    Ive downloaded the software you sent the link for but I'm not sure how to use it as nothing shows up when I load it.
