  1. School account changing policies

During online learning, I downloaded MS Teams and used my email from our organization. This added a Microsoft account to my device. I believe that this account changed some policies like login with fingerprint (sorted) and it limits my access to Windows Defender settings (Viruses and threats). I now need to temporarily disable real-time threat detection which I can't access.

I have Win10 home so I don't have gpedit to override this setting. DisableAntiSpyware register with value 0 didn't help either.

Is there a way around this? Or even better, is there a way to keep the organization account for MS Teams only without it messing up the rest of my PC? Thank you for your help.

    Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363

When trying to solve this I noticed that I can't do anything with Security Services if that means anything.

[Edit] I got gpedit.msc working but I don't know how to use it

  2. Does attaching to a school account change Windows settings or policies on my personal computer?

Are any Windows 10 policies or settings changed when you create a work/school account to Windows? Obviously, I mean settings other than the addition of the account. Is it possible that creating the school account will affect the operation of my computer
when I'm not connected to school? This is a troubleshooting question, not a privacy question. I just want to know if merely creating the account changes anything else. Can my school implement some policy to "protect" me without my knowledge? Windows sometimes
displays messages referring questions to a group or domain administrator even though I'm just a lonely home user. And I wonder if that might be related to having added a school account to my PC. It's strange I don't see this discussed anywhere.

  3. Does attaching to a school account change Windows settings or policies on my personal computer?

Thanks, JaspreetSingh08. That's good to know. But my question pertains more to changes to my system from just adding the account to my system. To be clear, call the set of all settings, policies, accounts, etc. on my computer "computer initial." Then
I add my school account to it. Then I log in using my university central authentication service. Then I use some of the information services at my school. Then I log off. Call that "computer final." Is computer initial any different from computer final,
aside from the existence of the school account?
