Windows 10: MsMpEng.exe running continuesly and not allowing to work

Discus and support MsMpEng.exe running continuesly and not allowing to work in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; MsMpEng.exe is utilising high CPU due to that I am not able to use my laptop.     MsMpEng.exe running continuesly and not allowing to work


    MsMpEng.exe is utilising high CPU due to that I am not able to use my laptop. I ran full virus scan just to check any issue but there was no threat. Due to this high CPU utilisation my battery is getting drained out as well. I never faced this issue earlier but recently I have received an update to windows defender after that I am facing lots of issues. Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue.

    There are several reasons why you are having issues running .exe files on your Windows 10 laptop. To assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to your laptop prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • What is the error message that you received when running .exe files?

    Hi,

    To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

    I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

    • Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
    • Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
    • Click on Apply and OK.

    Allowing standard users to run exe

    Hi guys,

    All our domain users are logged in as standard users, hence they cannot run .exe file. I want all users to allow a software application which runs only with an .exe file extension.

    How Can i achieve it??
