Windows 10: Don't know administator account, username, or password

I'm having some trouble with a laptop regarding administrator access. I'm using an HP ProBook 440 G7 running Windows 10 Pro. For context, I was given this laptop for work and it was previously used and potentially set up by another coworker who has since left.


I'm relatively inexperienced with Windows 10 but when I come to start the laptop, it only gives me the option to log in with either a school or work account, which I do. I can log in with my work account just fine but when I try to install software, it prompts the window to enter an admin username and password to continue with the setup.


The issue is that I don't know anything about the administrator account and neither do any of my current coworkers. As far as they know, the computer was set up by the other employee who has since left and whose work email has been deleted altogether. I've tried looking for any solution online, from disconnecting the laptop from the organisation's Azure Ad to just resetting it to factory settings altogether but with no success. Everything seems to need the admin username and password.


I'm fine with resetting the laptop to its factory settings as there is no data on it that is needed but I need to have administator access to be able to use it properly.


Would really appreciate anyone's help here as the laptop is practically unusable in its current state. Thanks!

• If you have a spare admin account then you can use it to reset the Administrator's password.

 

Hotmail account wrong username or password

I am trying to send an email using my hotmail account but it keeps coming back with unable to send due to incorrect username or password.

Any suggestions
