    Cutting and pasting multiple subfolders into multiple other subfolders


    Hello,


    I have a directory in the File Explorer set up like:


    C:\Users\asmith\OneDrive\Employees\


    In this folder Employees are 200 subfolders labeled by name.

    In each of those 200 subfolders there are another 6 subfolders:


    Payments

    Reports

    2021 Indirect Payments

    2021 Direct Payments

    2021 New Reports

    2021 Old Reports



    My goal is to:

    cut and paste '2021 Indirect Payments' and '2021 Direct Payments' into 'Payments'

    cut and paste '2021 New Reports' and '2021 Old Reports' into Reports.


    Is there an automated way to perform this task, rather than going into each of the 200 Employees and manually cutting and pasting?

    Archive Manager, can't extract without creating subfolder

    I am trying to extract an archive which contains an archive split into multiple files and for that I need Archive Manager to extract the first archive not in any subfolders.

    I read on the internet that if there is more than one file in the archive Archive Manager will automatically create a subfolder when extracting, now I think that there should certainly be an option for that too but there should not be only this default option available because now I can't extract a few archives without automatically creating subfolders.

    I do not want subfolders because then the second archive won't be able to extract contents because the second archive is split into more files (which depend on each other) and now all these files are in its own subfolder instead of the same folder.

    I used to this with ease with 7-Zip and Winrar on Windows but in Archive Manager there is no such a choice where you choose yourself whether you want it extracted to subfolder or not in a subfolder.

    Can not cut or copy and paste multiple files

    In windows 10 I can not cut or copy and paste multiple files from one location to another like I use to be able to in Windows 8. It seems to copy/cut one of the files but then stalls and never moves the other files that are selected. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Your suggestion has two slight drawbacks:

    • It will not create any new years (2016 . . 2020)
    • It will create fully populated folders instead of just empty structures.
