Windows 10: How to turn off orange taskbar icons?

and the response is about stopping the flashing

and I've followed the steps. But I would rather turn off the orange entirely. Especially since minecraft seems to be stuck on orange even though it has no notifications for me. And possibly I've found a bug as when I hid the task bar no secondary monitors and unhid it the minecraft icon was no longer orange on my second monitor but it's still orange on main. And trying to hide main screen taskbar had no such effect.

Anybody know if it's even possible?

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

how do you get rid of the orage light, not just flashing, but in total, i NEVER want my icon to turn orange in the taskbar.

To address your concern, follow the steps below on how to show hidden icons on the taskbar.

• Open Settings, and click on the Personalization
  icon.
• Click on Taskbar on the left side, and click on the
  Select which icons appear on the taskbar link under the Notification area section on the right.
• Turn on Always show all icons in the notification area at the top
