  1. Will turning off the UAC stop admin password prompts when launching cmd?

I want to delete an administrator account on my PC, while not being admin myself. I decided to try using the command prompt in admin... But yeah, I need the pass. Or a bypass to the password prompt. Will disabling the UAC do the trick?

    :)

  2. Any way to enable an admin password for UAC in windows 10?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps:

    • Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button.
    • Then type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.

    • Do one of the following:
    • To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click
OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.
    • To turn on UAC, move the slider to choose when you want to be notified, and then click
OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.

Will turning off the UAC stop admin password prompts when launching cmd?

Run .BAT as admin without UAC prompt?

Any elevation from Standard user should produce a UAC prompt - that's a security feature - to run the script as Admin silently from a non-Admin a/c you will have to include the username and password when elevating it.

The work-around is running it from a Scheduled Task with System rights, thereby not hardcoding or exposing the password in the script - the caveat is the task will need to be created/imported under Admin rights.
