Windows 10: Black screen still happening

I really just want to find out what has gone wrong at this point as i have been troubleshooting for around a month now.


Things i have done:

• uninstalled and reinstalled gpu drivers twice using DDU and installed the recommended version for my card
• Reinstalled windows
• Checked to see if monitor was the issue with a different screen
• used different hdmi
• Done memory tests
• Done checks on my sdd / hard drive
• Used cmd to check for corrupted files and to restore health e.g Dism and sfc scannow
• changed settings to make sure it isnt screen and ssd aren't turning off after a certain amount of time
• Done a clean boot in safe mode

What happens when i get a black screen:

1. mouse and keyboard wont do anything
2. screen goes black after a few seconds
3. Pc stays on lights still on fans and ram and can hear audio

This happens at random times and doesnt happen every day

This doesnt happen during the boot up or immediately after logging in

This has happened whilst in games, teams, powerpoint and youtube.


My parts:


16 gb corsair vengence pro rgb

Msi b450 tomahawk max

Ryzen 5 2600x

Msi 5500xt 8gb x gaming

Evga 600w psu


Temps on cpu never get hotter than 55 c and gpu never hotter than 70 usually stops at 65.


Please help this is driving me crazy
