  1. Weird USB port behaviour

A little earlier today, i was using my computer normally with no real issues whatsoever, and all of a sudden, both my front USB ports (marked as USB 2.0) stop working at the same time, meaning i couldn't use my mouse or keyboard in thoses ports. However, after i changed my mouse to one of the back usb ports it worked normally, so i just booted my pc and all ports went back to normal functionality. Any ideas on what could've caused this issue, and if it could come back to happen sometime in the future? (I'm sorry if this is a hardware question that might not be appropriate to this subreddit).

Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.

I hope this is detailed enough...

USB drives displaying weird icons (i believe in usb 3.0 ports only)

@andrewq have you followed these steps? USB drives displaying weird icons (i believe in usb 3.0 ports only)
You should not be getting the blank icon, unless it's related to the fact that some of the metadata servers seem to still be down, but i don't think that's the reason. You should be getting the default icon that comes with the OS

    USB Ports

    Hi Homer,

We'd like to ask a few questions to help us isolate this problem.

    • Have you tried connecting your device tracker to a different USB port on your computer?
    • If so, was it detected?
    • Did you receive any error messages?

To address this issue, we suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps shared by Praveen Venogupal on this

    link
    .

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
