  1. Speaker setup not saving settings in windows 10

I have a problem. I want to setup surrounding sounds. I go to "Sound Control Panel" then I click "Configure". Finish. Test is OK, but music, youtube, etc is only in main speaker green plug and no other speakers. I tried tips from: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance-winpc/windows-10-not-saving-sound-settimgs/28240bf0-4ad7-406f-be84-7101b13f1750 but it takes no effect.

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

    Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Pair the speaker with your PC.
    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

    • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
    • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
    • Right click on the same device again and Enable.
    • Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

    Regards,

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Speaker setup not saving settings in windows 10

    Speaker Setup (Unknown)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Please confirm the following things for me.

    1. May I know the build of Windows 10 running on your system? This can be found by clicking on the ‘Windows’ icon at the bottom left corner of your screen and by typing in ‘winver’.
    2. Was there any major change on your system prior to which you were able to use the back panel ‘Line out’ for the speakers without any issues?

Please follow the methods below and check if it works out for you.

    Method 1:

Run the audio troubleshooter, it will automatically detect the problem and fix it. This can be done by the following steps:

    1. Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
    2. Type 'Troubleshoot' and click on 'Troubleshoot'.
    3. This will open 'Troubleshoot' in settings, select 'Playing Audio' and click on 'Run the troubleshooter'.
    4. Please follow the onscreen instructions.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to check by disabling the NVIDIA audio drivers temporarily and restart your system to see if the issue still persists.

You can also update the audio drivers, you will need to look for ‘Sound, video and game controllers’, expand it to find the audio driver, example: ‘Realtek High Definition Audio’, please follow the steps in this

    link
    to update the audio drivers.

    Hope it helps.
