Windows 10: Random Shutdown Issue Lenovo Legion 5-15ARH05H Laptop - Type 82B1

Windows Support,


I bought a brand new Lenovo Legion 5 in the middle of January of 2021 and in the past week have been having issues with it randomly shutting down when using Chrome or Forza Horizon 4.

Below is what I've done with the PC.

1. 
   Updated the BIOS to the latest version.
   
   
2. 
   Installed Nvidia Graphics Driver version 461.40 since the latest version made the PC shutdown much more often.
   
   
3. Installed all Windows 10 updates.
4. Run Full System antivirus scans from AVG Free, Malwarebytes Free, and Windows Defender.
   1. The results are always "No viruses or malware found".
5. Cleaned the PC with CCleaner.
6. Uninstalled Lenovo Vantage.
7. 
   Reset the BIOS settings to default.
   

If you know of a fix for my issue then please advise.

NOTE: The last thing that I want to do is do a fresh install of Windows 10 and it doesn't make sense to me why I'd need to do that since the PC is basically new.

Don't see anything useful in the dump but the system even log shows this:









Looks like you have a hardware problem. Contact Lenovo and have them fix or replace the system. No way a new system should have this kind of problem.

Looking at the most recent system-events.txt (Event Viewer data), there are hundreds of these recorded:











I don't think this is an external hard drive since it occurred during a paging operation.

Also hundreds of these:





This may be an external drive but I don't know. You definitely have some significant drive problems going on that can be contributing to your other problems.

Please describe exactly what hard drives (HDD or SSD) are in the computer and what external drives are being used.

From what I can see you have:

Internal:
SKHynix_HFM512GDHTNI-87A0B SSD 500GB
WDC WD10SPSX-08A6W HDD 1TB

External:
G-DRIVE mobile 1TB (don't know Mfg or if HDD or SSD)
Seagate Backup+ BL 1TB (don't know if HDD or SSD)

Try disconnecting both external drives and run that way for awhile, especially while working with Zbook, see how that affects things.
