Issue with Family Safety allowed website URL address

Something seems to be suddenly broken with the way family safety makes the url link for always allowed website that parent adds manually or through automatic approval when child sends "ask for permission" request. When the request is approved and I see the new website is shown in the list of always allowed websites, the child's computer still does not allow browsing to the site.

When I investigated more, I noticed that the address of website has an offending http// without : in addition to the original http:// in the address hence clicking on it makes a wrong URL and site cannot be reached. Example: I add "microsoft.com" to the always allowed websites. Then the url showing up in the list reads as http://microsoft.com but hovering over the link or clicking on the link will get to the address https://http//microsoft.com/ which obviously cannot be reached because of extra http// added.

This is a new issue and only appeared since the last two weeks. Everything was working fine before that so something must have been broken that causes this. I have tested this on both Edge and other browsers with same symptoms showing across the board.

    :)
