Windows 10: Windows defender

So just a few hours ago I was writing a joke script for my friend which would print a skull to the terminal and then say "Deleting all of your files.." Of course, it wouldn't actually do any of that, it would just pause for about 10 seconds then the program would end. So when the time came I compiled it to a file called virus.exe of course, windows defender immediately told me I should delete it, so I just sent it to my friend and told him that he should run my virus then hit the remove button on windows defender. After that it did a quickscan but it still said that the threat exists. I clicked more details and confirmed that it was talking about malware.exe in my folder of projects. I clicked remove again, nothing happened. I did another scan, still says the threat exists. I restarted my pc thinking that would solve the problem but windows still says that it is on my pc. Is there a way to get windows defender to stop bothering me about this? Thanks in advance.

Windows Defender problem

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

Windows update and windows defender issues

We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
  
• Click Settings.
  
• Turn Real-time protection on.

We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.
